Meet the Committee Members of the Central Free State Branch of Saiosh

             Chairman: Johan v Wyngaard cell 083 534 2377 

Johan's Health and Safety career began in 1978 when he was a member of the Department of Defence and ever since the Safety and Health has been part of the planning and execution of the daily tasks. Since 2000 he became involved in the private sector which included the construction industry. He had attended various training courses in H&S, legislation and management. He is currently the SHEQ Manager for Ruwacon, Costruction Company and registered as an OHSPROF with Saiosh. 

                                                           Vice Chairman: Flip de Jager
 He has extensive experience  and knowledge in Occupational Health and Safety as an previous inspector with Department of Labour and employed by Murray & Roberts on construction projects abroad. Flip is an independent HSE consultant and registered with Saiosh as a OHSPROF

                                                           

                                      Secretary: Johan Dempers cell 083 679 8554
      Johan is the CEO of SWIFT OHS Consultants. He has been a business owner for 26 years. In 2009 he bought an OHS franchise, but within a year parted ways with the franchisor. Since then he has been operating independently. Currently he is the contracted OHS agent for several municipalities and also active as a consultant for various construction companies. He has a passion for OHS and actively strives to improve standards and implement best practises.

             His career started as a health and safety inspector with the Department of Health. He joined Eskom in 1980. His career in Risk Management began in 1983 when he was employed at Duvha Power Station. He moved to the Distribution Division in 1987. Currently he is employed as a SHE officer with Eskom. He is registered with DIMSA, IoSM, SABPP.

         

                       Events Coordinator : Etienne Calitz cell 073 235 3838

           Etienne is an independent SHE consultant and owner of ISS Consultancy. He is a member of Saiosh, IoSM and a ROSPrac registered with OHSAP. He has 12 years experience in the Safety & Health and Environmental field with 6 years in the construction field.

  
          Education Officer / Registration : Fanie Cooks cell 083 6262 673 

           Fanie's career in OHS started in 1987 when he was appointed as the NOSA Safety Advisor for the East Rand. In 1992 he was appointed as the NOSA Regional Manager in Central Free State, Bloemfontein.  He has experience in Petro-chemical, food, explosives, mining and the construction industry. Registered with the Education Training and Development Quality Assurance Body of ETDP SETA as an Accredited Accessor. Has acted for NOSA as a judicator on National Competitions. He attended various training courses in the field of Health and Safety. He is currently employed by Ruwacon Construction company as the Free State Regional Safety Manager. He was also involved in the construction of the Free State Stadium, Bloemfontein for the FIFA Soccer World Cup and the Intermodel (Taxi Rank) in Bloemfontein.
